Day 14

Day 14 - What sight are you grateful for today?
(I know I am behind, I don't care!)

Even though it is a never-ending chore, these garden carts full of weeds and trimmings.

Also, this...

This Hibiscus is growing!

Remember this little guy?

I saw him (her?) again last night, but was too slow to get a picture.

We got a lawn tractor like this one a couple of years ago.

2017 New Holland Boomer 24 Tractor

This picture is from a dealer's page. It is not ours. We don't have the loader bucket for the front. I do not like his mower. There are several steps - like pre-flight checks - to follow before you can start the thing. The first time I used it I could not remember all the steps and, of course, it wouldn't start. There have been several other issues with it during the time we have had it.Yesterday I was mowing and needed to refuel. Drove it to the fuel barrel, turned it off following all the steps and it wouldn't start. Husband was right there and couldn't figure out what was wrong. Called the dealer/repair shop and they gave him some advice. Tried that. Still wouldn't start. Called again, more advice, still wouldn't start. They just picked it up to take it back to the shop to work on it. They think that one of the safety switches has gone bad. I understand the reasons for all the safety switches - a certain lever needs to be in a certain position, brake must be locked, have to stay seated, seat belt must be click in - but in my mind that is just more things to go bad and need replaced. I want a different mower. Good thing I started mowing the front part of they lawn and got it finished because the lawn is only half mowed and who knows when we will get the mower back. They have been busy and some of their staff are on vacation.

Here is my To Do list today...

I have crossed off a lot of the outside jobs. However, these jobs take a long time.
It is to get really hot and miserable this weekend so I think I will be getting lots of inside time, which is good because I have lots to do!
