Gratitude Day 7

Day 7 - What  memory are you thankful for?
Well, I made a nice memory today. There are about 15-20 ladies that participate in the quilter's exchange group every year. But, there is a little group of five of us that seem to have formed our own little group. We have gone on a couple of overnight trips together and often go on one-day outings. Yesterday we made a trip to Bloomington, IL to Boline's Quilt Fabric Warehouse. They are friendly, helpful and have a great selection of fabrics and wonderful prices.

They helped my friends measure and figure out how much fabric would be needed for borders, binding and backing. We all leave with lovely fabrics and plans for the next quilt (or five). I went knowing I really didn't need anything but left with some fabric anyway. Here are my selections from the day:

Top left to right - teal batik, three batik fat quarters, bundle of 11 1/2 yards of pastel solids - no plans for any of these, but they just needed to be in my stash.
Bottom left to right - the red and blue are flannels - planning to use in the Quilt Doodle BOM 2018, the next two I have no plans for yet, the next 10 are reds, blues, browns that will get used in the 365 Challenge. And lastly, on the right is a piece of wide backing that I plan to use for the back of the 365 Challenge. I know I won't have this quilt finished for a long time, but I loved this paisley print so I got it now.

After fabric shopping we were all hungry! That is another fun thing about these trips, we always find a good place to eat. This time it was a Mexican restaurant. The food was very good with portions big enough to have leftovers for another time. The service was not so good. We were seated and drink orders taken immediately, but we waited a long time for the food orders to be taken and then we waited so long for our checks that we finally just went up to the cash register to pay. We were there during lunch time and they were busy, but our waiter, along with three others, were just standing by the kitchen chatting. If I recommend this eatery to anyone it will be with a warning to be prepared for slow service.

The following time I learn a blog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as a lot as this one. I imply, I know it was my option to learn, however I really thought youd have one thing fascinating to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about one thing that you can fix when you werent too busy in search of attention. online casino bonus
