Why?

This confuses me.

If the bag is going to be too heavy for one bag why put so much in it?

This bag contains 6 cans of soup and 1 can of beef stew. These are not the small 10.5 oz cans. They are the 18.6 oz cans. The stew is 38 oz. Why not put 3 cans in one bag and 4 in another? Two bags are being used anyway. I managed the bag ok, but it was heavy.

Today, out my front door, there is a frozen pond in the field. Many of the fields in the area look like this.
We got a dusting of snow. The roads were a little slick early this morning, but are fine now.

Now, now - two separate bags would be "common sense" to most people - but I think it's in very short supply these days. Maybe "they" think it's easier to carry one heavy bag than two lighter ones - or that the bag must be "full" or they are wasting bags - who knows? Your pond looks great - if you plan to ice skate - LOL - ;))
