1 1/2 hours away from home. There is also a fabric shop in the town where the sale barn is. Since my son and I would arrive before my husband we had time to kill. Guess where we did that at!
I added more to my stash. The top fabric is to make a pillow for my son. He really likes deer and wildlife fabric.
Next, on the left, are stones, tile roof, brick and grass fabrics. I like to keep these just in case.
In the middle on top is a light batik. These are hard to find in my area so I like to pick some up when I see them.
Serene Glow |
Nothing on my design wall right now, but I have
been working on Serene Glow.
Left over corner trimmings. |
I have the center units finished. And, I finished the Flying Geese units that will be the star points.
To make the Flying Geese units a square is laid on one side of the rectangle, a seam is sewn from corner to middle, and the excess is trim off the corner. Like this, (the one on top).
So now I have this pile of corner trimmings that I will probably sew into half square triangle units.
There will be some of the other fabrics left over. Hopefully enough for a small quilt - maybe a wall hanging or table topper.
I have also been busy quilting Amish with a Twist. It is off the frame and ready for the binding. Yay!
