My Quilter's Exchange group met this weekend to trade bags. We are all doing star blocks. My star is Solomon's Star. The pattern can be found here at Quilt Blocks Galore.
The bag I have this month is bright pinks and greens.
I don't know if it shows in the picture, but the red fabric in the center has metallic gold dots on it.
The greens in the top left and center have metallic gold on them, as well.
As you can see peeking out from under these blocks is the Fire Island Hosta that I am still working on.
I also finished another T-shirt quilt. This time with her college shirts.
I made one a few years ago for the same girl with her high school shirts.
Well, I get an emergency day from school today because of hazardous road conditions due to freezing rain and icy roads. Hhmmm - what to do?
First up will be to finish cleaning up the mess that the waterbed leak caused during the night. A patch was glued on and a new mattress has been ordered - at 1:00 am. Sheets are in the wash now. I would really like to get a conventional bed and mattress, but my husband likes crawling into a warm waterbed at night, especially in the frigid cold of winter. It is nice to sleep on a warm bed.
Then, I guess I will just have to sew the rest of the day! Darn. :)

We changed three months ago from a water bed to a conventional mattress. I miss my warm bed, but love the feel and comfort of the mattress. Added bonus is when cat kneeds bed it doesn't leak. LOL
After I check some blogs - I think I'll be sewing the rest of the day, too - darn!! - ;))
