Design Wall Monday

A finish...

from 2 1/2 inch square batiks ...

left over from this quilt.

I just couldn't let those lovely batiks go in the garbage!
And, an on-going project...

Design Wall Monday

I got tattoos!

No, not for me, for my machines. :)

I got mine at CozyQuilter.com
You can get them at Urban Elementz as well.

I think they are fun.

On my wall are some of the blocks for Old Crow.

I made two more last night and am working on another this morning.

When I finish it I will move on to binding this quilt.

Design Wall Mond....err...Tuesday

I really intended to post yesterday, since the school I work at declared a snow day, but I just never got around to it.

I had a good reason! I got this T-shirt quilt put together. Now it needs quilted.

I had a busy weekend, too. I recently found a quilt group in my area. We meet monthly to exchange blocks for the annual block exchange. When I first joined the group was finishing up the exchange for that year. I am able to join in on the new one. It is star blocks this time. This is the 3rd exchange and I don't know why but I didn't think to take pictures of the previous 2 months. Here is one for this month. These are the blocks for this quilter so far. One was made by her, the rest were made by other members. Two of the members are making 2 blocks for each month so that we all end up with 15 blocks. We also have Show and Tell. It is wonderful to see what everyone else is working on.

My block is Solomon's Star.

The group also has quarterly retreats with more Show and Tell. I need to start taking my camera!
The latest retreat was this past Thursday through Sunday. Unfortunately, Sunday had to be cancelled because of the weather.
On Thursday and Friday I was only able to attend in the evening after I left work. On Saturday around 5:00 it started to rain and the temperature started to drop. I packed up and went home then because I hate to drive on icy roads.
While I was there I worked on these Diamond Log Cabin blocks. I got the 24 half light-half dark diamonds for the center finished. Now I have 16 all dark and 24 all dark half blocks to finish.
